A Deeper View…

Camilla Bignell is a trusted consultant, coach, strategic planner, and resource to committed owners of privately-owned businesses (as well as their teams and family in business) who know there is more to business than doing a “job.” She has an incredible knack for seeing the vision of success for her clients and inspiring unity within teams.

Growing up in Georgetown, Ontario with two younger brothers, Camilla’s parents were extraordinary role models as they instilled excellent work ethics and helped shape the direction of her career path. Her mother was a trailblazer for women in the automotive industry while her father rose through the ranks of the Canadian National Railway (from the age of 16 swinging a sledgehammer to retiring as a Technical Services Officer). They spent most weekends at their family cottage connecting with family and friends, being resourceful, appreciating nature, and enjoying board games and outdoor summer and winter activities.

Over the years, Camilla has had the privilege of working for various corporate and privately-owned businesses including several family-owned enterprises. She has been instrumental in creating change and advancement for these organizations. More importantly, she created a sense of family within the teams she has worked with.

In 1994, her parents invited her to manage the family business, and she became owner alongside her brothers. Camilla worked with their team to maximize strengths for more productivity. Procedures were fine-tuned. The company grew in all aspects: employees, clients, space, expenses, and revenue. There were good and bad times, celebrations, and lessons learned in those 17 years.

By 2011, with the declining economy and realization that she was not living her passion, Camilla transitioned to create her own firm and work with business owners in a meaningful way to simplify their processes and improve the experience for both the owners and their team, ultimately enhancing the client experience.
